In it for the long term. ARK CEO Cathie Wood recently spoke exclusively to Nikko AM NZ investors about why she remains all-in when it comes to game-changing disruptive innovation investment.

"The companies in our portfolios, and (in) the flagship portfolio, are there because they have been investing aggressively and short-term oriented shareholders in the last year because of interest rate fears, have been punishing our companies for investing in the future. Depriving, or basically foregoing short-term profits, in order to gain long-term benefits competitively.

So we're pretty excited about where we sit right now. We know it's been painful, believe me. I mean, more than half of my own financial assets are in our funds, and I haven't sold any of them. In fact, I've bought. And, as you know, we bet the company on this as well.

I'm a significant shareholder, so my confidence has increased understanding of all the risks out there."
