The Freedom Fund distributes a donation to Tearfund every month made up of the management fee charged to the fund and returns above the invested capital. The first distribution, in October 2021, was just $13, and now the average monthly gift is $1,727. As of May 2026, total giving from the fund is $93,885 – and counting.
Investors in the Freedom Fund do not receive a financial return, but your money does more than grow. The fund is structured so that investor capital is preserved and accessible, while all returns flow to the cause.
As a scholarship partner, we sponsor a student through their university journey, providing financial support and an internship at our Auckland office each year of their studies. This is a three-year commitment that gives us the chance to get to know the person we are supporting and see the difference it makes at close range.
The First Foundation internship is one strand of a paid internship track at Amova that looks beyond traditional university recruitment to find talented people from different walks of life.
Abilities employs people with disabilities alongside able-bodied staff to create an inclusive working environment. More than a job, the model creates self-worth, broadens abilities, and breaks down barriers. The Amova New Zealand team’s help to Abilities has started out with financial support.

Women’s Refuge supports women and children seeking shelter from domestic and family violence. The work that Women's Refuge does goes far beyond keeping people safe in the short term. The nationwide organisation’s wide-ranging support, education, research, and advocacy is about helping mothers, children, and whānau find a way forward.
Our annual contribution typically equates to 300 safe nights for a woman and her children at risk of family violence, giving them access to a safe bed, hot meals, security, and advice.
Dress for Success Auckland empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and development tools to help women to thrive in work and in life.
As well as a meaningful donation, our team gets involved through donating clothes, donation drives, and volunteering at sales events. We are quietly proud of changing the lives of women in the greater Auckland region.
